1999 No. 9  Cherry Rocking Chair        This is the second rocking chair I ever made, and therefore it might someday have some value as a collectible.  (My first chair—see below—was a gift to my wife.)    Its form and detail are simpler than my more recent rockers, and it has a lower profile and softer rock.  I have used it in my office over the years, and I am willing to let it go at a reduced price. 2000 No. 5  Cherry Rocking Chair with Maple Accents The rich, natural cherry color and patina of this chair make it a standout.  This is the first chair on which I experimented with the rolled-over armrests, and the crest represents a midpoint in my evolution of the form.  This chair “sits” beautifully and has a lovely rock. 2007 No. 12  Walnut Presidential Rocking Chair with Maple Accents     I recently completed this chair in late 2007.  I have more requests for walnut than any other wood because of its warm inviting qualities and its ability blend with almost any décor.  This chair has a wonderful feel, and it incorporates my latest design modification—a slight change to the back slats. 2002 No. 1  Tiger Maple Presidential Rocking Chair with Walnut Accents       This remains, in my opinion, one of the finest chairs I have ever made.  The grain of the wood is truly exceptional, and it is an extremely comfortable chair.  This is the first chair that I fully blended the Maloof style with the Boston rocker form.  Because of its extraordinary beauty, I used this chair on most of my promotional materials, and I have kept it in my shop to use as a template for later chairs.  It will be truly hard for me to part with this chair—it has become a part of me.  $8000

 

2007 No. 10  Petite Cuban Mahogany Rocker with Maple Accents       This recently completed rocker is truly One-of-a-Kind in many ways.  First, the magnificent and rare Cuban mahogany by itself makes this piece a true collectible.  Second, the arms and back of this chair are unlike any that I have ever made.  Third, I sized this chair for a smaller individual, downsizing every dimension by two inches.  Fourth, I took extraordinary care with the detail of the hard lines on this chair.  (Ask me for an explanation.)   Absolutely unique!   REDUCED!      $7300 contact me

 

1998 No. 9  Walnut Rocking Chair      This was the very first rocking chair I every made.  Even though I consider its lines “primitive” compared with the chairs that I currently make, its lovely form and very comfortable feel hold a prominent place in the family room of our home.  I regularly fall asleep in this chair.  I dedicated this first rocking chair to my beautiful and supportive wife, Judy, and gave it to her that year as a Christmas gift.
